Extra-Curricular Activities

Co-curriculum refers to the activities and learning experiences that take place in college alongside the academic curriculum. Academic attainment is a key element of college life and it is complemented by a broad and enriching co- curriculum to provide a rounded education.

The variety of provision within the co-curriculum at Astron College ensures that music, sport, parties, dramas, competitions and excursion trips all play an integral part in the students’ lives. In our college aims, we describe how we want to develop in every pupil the skills, aptitudes and abilities required to become emotionally resilient and autonomous learners. We want to encourage in every student a sense of commitment, to value high achievement, to be prepared to adapt and to innovate.

Our extra-curricular activities play an important part enabling us to work towards these aims. These extra activities offer pupils opportunities for learning the value of teamwork, individual and group responsibility, physical strength and endurance, competition diversity, and a sense of culture and community

Extra-Curricular Activities

It has always been an immense pleasure for the College management to start the year with a formal welcome party to welcome the newcomers. Our worthy Principal gets himself involved to host one of the important events of the year. The event includes a few short speeches of the faculty teacher/s worthy Principal and our Honorable Chief guest, followed by cultural programs, including cultural dances and songs, short skits & play, drama, etc. and finally refreshment. All such events provide a platform for ASTRONIANs to show their potential in diverse areas of the life. It helps students to build confidence and a feeling of owning the College as their 2nd home. Welcome to the journey of learning and sharing ...
